All about Mrs. Brienen |
Hello and welcome to my classroom website! I hope you find all the necessary tools to help your child be successful in Language Arts.
My name is Nicole Brienen and this is my 1st year teaching at Kingsley Junior High School. I'm so excited to be apart of the Cavalier family. I graduated in 2009 from Illinois State University with my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with endorsements in language arts, reading, social science, and mathematics. After graduating, I taught first grade and early childhood for four years, until moving to Will County where I taught middle school in Plainfield School District for three years. From there, I taught 5th grade ELA in Troy School District. And now, I'm back in Normal! When I'm not teaching, I'm at home with my husband, Mark, our children, 5-year-old daughter, Ellie, and 2.5-year-old, Kellan, and 4 dogs; Jack, Riley, Kaner, and Bacon. (Yup, he's really named Bacon!) This is going to be a wonderful year!
